Susi Dalanhese, DNP
Susi Dalanhese, DNP, FNP-BC, has 26 years of clinical experience across critical care, post-acute care, and mental health settings.
Susi specializes in neurodevelopmental conditions affecting children, adolescents, and adults, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, genetic disorders, and prenatal substance exposure. She is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals with complex developmental needs.
Through Dalanhese Adaptive Psychiatry PLLC, Susi provides telehealth services and in-home or facility consults, expanding access to specialized psychiatric care. Her approach emphasizes comprehensive assessment, individualized treatment planning, and collaboration with families and multidisciplinary care teams.
Susi is mentored by Deborah A. Bilder, MD, the Hopkin Presidential Endowed Chair for Autism Research and Clinical Translation at the University of Utah Huntsman Mental Health Institute. Dr. Bilder is Principal Investigator for the Utah Registry of Autism and Developmental Disabilities and co-Principal Investigator for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network Utah site. Her work focuses on understanding the prevalence of mental health conditions and antipsychotic use among adolescents with autism. She also serves on scientific and clinical trial advisory boards and consults with pharmaceutical companies developing medications and gene therapies for rare genetic disorders affecting the central nervous system.
With decades of clinical experience and advanced doctoral training, Susi is deeply committed to improving the lives of individuals with neurodevelopmental and behavioral health conditions. She believes that every patient deserves thoughtful, individualized care and works closely with families, providers and interdisciplinary teams to support long-term stability, dignity, and quality of life. Her goal is not only to manage symptoms, but to help individuals reach their fullest potential through compassionate, evidence-based treatment.
